Jimmy Graham and Angel Flight
Professional football player Jimmy Graham joins 723 Whiskey Bravo owners Skip and Victoria Moore in flying for Angel Flight Soars, Inc. Graham, who was traded from the New Orleans Saints to the Seattle Seahawks, flew his first mission March 26.
Graham teamed up with newest AF Pilot Scott Dorfman to transport burn patient Faafua to an important appointment that would change her life. Faafua and her husband Joey left Madison, Miss., with Scott to meet Jimmy in Destin to get to her specialist in Miami, Fla.
They were welcomed in Destin by AF BOD members Skip and Victoria Moore of 723 Whiskey Bravo, who helped bring Jimmy on board with the Angel Flight team. This mission was more than a success, it was a memory of a lifetime. Jimmy and Scott share a passion of aviation and helping people like Faafua. Together they made the mission possible and gave a complete stranger hope of a better life. Life takes us all in many different directions but working together play by play we can change the world.
“This is the perfect example of what Angel Flight is all about,” says Victoria. “As an organization, we come together to do what we can, where we are, with what we have and are thankful that we can introduce new pilots and volunteers to such a worthy program that makes a difference for angels like Faafua.”
The Moores have helped raise over $200,000 through their annual Party with a Purpose event. The Angel Flight mission is to arrange free air transportation for people who need to travel to receive lifesaving medical treatment, but lack the means. Angel Flight believes illness isn’t stopped by boundaries and cures shouldn’t be either — whether the boundaries are geographic or monetary. Angel Flight helps families focus on getting better instead of worrying about how to get there.
